AST 1 Webinar details

AST1 Webinar Log in Information 

Hi and thanks for joining Yamnuska Mountain Adventures on our AST1 Webinar platform.  Over two webinar sessions, we will cover all the material that was traditionally covered during the classroom day.  The webinar will have an interactive approach with break out rooms and group sessions to bring you the most up to date curriculum that is being developed through Avalanche Canada. 

Webinar Courses will begin at 6:00 pm on the designated date you are registered for. Your instructor will be logged in 30 minutes prior to the course start. It is recommended you log in 15 minutes prior to the course start to make sure you are set up and ready to begin learning at 6:00 pm. You will not require any special downloads and the link will take you right to the webinar. A high-speed internet connection is required to participate in the Webinar.  

Below you will find detailed instructions on how to log on and join your instructor. 

Logging On 

Go to the following link and click on the Join button. You will notice some more useful links on the page that will take you to our AST2 information page as well as a link to some online tutorials that you may use for the group session during the webinar:

After you hit Join you will be prompted to enter a password on the next page that opens. The password is yamnuska. Once you enter the password click on Join. 

 

After you click Join you will then click on launch meeting. If you have a zoom account with the app then it will prompt you to join directly through the app. If you do not have the app you can join by clicking on join from your browser. 

 

 

If you join by browser, you will see the page below. Enter your name and then join. After that, you will join the webinar. You will be added to a waiting room and your instructor will then begin the webinar.  

If you join via the app you will see the screen below.  Once your instructor starts the meeting you will join the webinar.
