Meet Adam Greenberg. We challenge you to find someone who has a cooler summer job than him. Adam has the enviable task of joining many of our programs this summer to capture video footage. Video is an important and growing media that people rely on to learn about mountain programs. Adam’s responsibility this summer is to give our prospective guests a sense for what Yamnuska’s programs are all about. Here is a little bit about Yam’s newest team member.
Growing up in Canmore has ingrained in Adam a respect and appreciation for the mountains. He has been skiing since he could walk (sullied by a 10 year affair with snowboarding that ended abruptly when he realized how difficult it is to move any direction but down) and has been climbing for just as long. His true loves are long alpine rock routes, steep ski descents and filmmaking.
He pursued his passion for media production in Vancouver, where he graduated from Simon Fraser University with a degree in Interactive Arts and Technology, and a minor in shredding Coastal Powder. For the past two summers he has been lucky enough to combine all the things he loves by producing films for Banff National Park; a journey that culminated in his film screening as a finalist in the Banff Mountain Film Festival. He is incredibly excited by the new challenges of producing video media for Yamnuska. He hopes the work he creates will help people discover what he thinks is the most important thing in life: “Getting out there!”
Keep an eye on the ‘Media’ tab of our program pages for Adam’s work.
