Here is what Richard Howes had to say about a recent Mount Athabasca Climb: “As I stood on the summit of the Silverhorn at 9:00am in the -4 degree cold with Gordon (recent alumnus of the Scrambling Hiking Course, taking part in three days of one-on-one instruction and climbing), a stiff wind was blowing a plume of ice crystals off the summit ridge of Mt. Athabasca. Even so, I couldn’t resist giving Gordon the experience of treading that line in the sky, and a little later we celebrated on the summit before dropping a few meters down to a flat sheltered spot out of the wind. We took the less windy way down!” – Richard Howes, Yamnuska Guide
