Upcoming events with Yamnuska

Fall in the Bow Valley is quickly turning into winter and with it we are transitioning into our winter programs. Yamnuska guides have already been out finding early season Ice and Mixed climbing as well as seeking out the snow covered slopes of glaciers that provide the first fresh turns of the ski season (rock skis only please)! We are pretty passionate about the mountains and the long summer hiatus has some guides itching to get out and strap back on the skis for those long powder descents! Many of our winter advanced avalanche AST 2 programs are already starting to fill up as well as our supurlative Wapta Traverse trips. You can find all of our winter offerings on our website.

We have also updated our Summer and Fall 2010 course offerings for both our Mountaineering and Trekking programs. Next year’s highlights include client favorites such as our Lake Louise Classics Mountaineering week, and our Bugaboos Granite alpine rock expedition. We’ve also got our cross-over Mountaineering/Trekking trip; the Kananaskis Alpine Traverse, as well as a new and exciting off trail alpine trekking program in the works for the Highwood Pass area of Kananaskis Country. Start planning your 2010 winter and summer vacations now to guarantee a spot on your preferred program and so you can look forward to an active and adventurous 2010!
