Beginning July 1, 2013 Yamnuska Mountain Adventures will be operating the recreational ropes course at the Nakoda Lodge. Obstacles such as The Zombie Bridge, The X, The Swinging Log and many other challenges will all be part of the experience if you decide to try the High Ropes Challenge Course.
The recreational ropes course is a fun, challenging and exciting family or group activity that is suitable for anyone ages 8 and above. Designed to be both mentally and physically challenging participants will no doubt enjoy this professionally built and designed ropes course. At the end of the course, enjoy the 70 meter zip line to the ground.
The Pacific Center for Leadership built the Nakoda Lodge Ropes and Challenge Course in 1998 to provide an experiential team and leadership development session. In 2009 the course was expanded to include a recreational ropes and challenge course, with a zip-line descent. Yamnuska and Pacific Center for Leadership have partnered, with Yamnuska now offering the recreational ropes course programs to individuals and groups looking for a high ropes course challenge.
PCFL will continue to offer their team and leadership development high ropes course sessions, using the group belay section of the Nakoda ropes courses. Offering elements such as “the Leap of Faith” and the “Commitment V” , this high ropes course option requires full participation from all team members to provide the support and safety systems to achieve exceptional results. PCFL professional facilitators will ensure the session goes beyond “just fun” and aligns with stated team development goals and objectives.
